2020 Volkswagen GT Special-Edition Debuts at North American International Auto Show – 2020 marks the year of an enhanced, limited-edition model of the Volkswagen Passat. The 2020 Passat GT Special Model is “the most intense looking Passat nevertheless,” and is powered by the extreme 3.6-liter VR6® engine mated to a standard six-speed DSG® automatic transmission with Tiptronic®. The transmission is equipped with steering wheel-fitted paddles shifters, and the powertrain produces a cardiovascular system-thumping 280 horsepower and sensitive 258 lb-ft of torque.

“Starting at the front, Passat GT differentiates alone from standard Passat models with standard LED headlights and LED Daytime Operating Lamps (DRL).
