2023 Aston Martin DBX 707 SUV – Since the original DBX launched, Aston Martin has promised a faster version. According to manufacturer claims, the 2023 DBX 707 will be the fastest-performance SUV on sale. Aston CEO Tobias Moers stated that the company plans to prove this by setting the Nurburgring record.

The DBX 707 is positioned above the standard DBX. It will continue to sell alongside the standard DBX. Aston claims that it has significantly engineered the 4.0-liter AMG V-8 to give it a significant power boost. New ball-bearing turbochargers are used and a revised calibration is used to increase output to 697 horsepower. (The “707” designation refers to the metric horsepower). This is 155 horsepower more than the regular DBX. It means that the DBX 707 outguns luminaries such as the 626-hp Bentley Bentayga W12 Speed, 641-hp Lamborghini Urus, and the 670-hp Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. Moers acknowledged that Aston was Aston’s benchmark car when he introduced journalists to the new car to them.
The DBX 707’s torque output also increased, reaching a peak of 663-pound feet. The 707 replaces the nine-speed manual transmission of the regular DBX with an AMG’s faster nine-speed gearbox that uses a torque converter and a wet-clutch package. The 707 will be able to sprint at 60 mph in 3.1 seconds thanks to faster gear changes and launch control starts. This would match our results for the Lamborghini Urus which is the fastest SUV we have ever tested.
It’s not surprising that the DBX 707 will come standard with carbon-ceramic brakes. The front will feature 16.5 inches of rotors and the rear will have 15.4 inches. Standard wheels will be 22 inches, with an option for 23-inch wheels. These will have Pirelli tires. However, Moers states that any attempt to break Cayenne Turbo’s 7:38.9 Nurburgring speed will be made on more aggressive track-biased rubber.
The DBX 707 has visual differences beyond the new wheels. It features a larger front bumper with a larger grille and dark window surrounds instead of chrome trim. There is also a huge diffuser element at its back with quad exhaust tips. New sport seats are added to the interior, but regular comfort seats for the DBX will still be available at no cost. There is also a new center console that features a rotary gear selector and a revised center console. The lower console now has shortcut buttons to select different drive modes. This means that drivers will not have to use infotainment to adjust settings for the adaptive suspension, stability control, and active exhaust system.
The DBX 707 uses Aston’s current infotainment system (the one that was built on Mercedes’ last-generation STAR architecture), but Moers promises that a bespoke Aston User Interface will soon be developed. He promises that while we cannot modify the nav system as it takes time, we are developing a bespoke HMI and nav system for Aston, without using Mercedes.

Moers is also optimistic about the DBX 707’s sales prospects. He predicts that the 707 will account for around 60% of all DBX sales. Despite its $235,086 cost, it is more than $50,000 more costly than the standard car. Production will begin before the end of the first quarter of 2022.
