2023 Ford Ranger Diesel – There are many reasons to be excited about the new Ford Ranger. North America now has the Ford Ranger Raptor. There will be two options depending on where you live. Ford has been secretive about which powertrains will be available for its diesel engines. The most powerful diesel engine can produce 247 horsepower (184 Kilowatts) and 442 lbft (602 Newton-meters) of torque. V8 gas engines produce less twisting power.
2023 Ford Ranger Diesel Redesign
The Ford turbodiesel has a start/stop system. This feature is also available on Ranger Raptors’ twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engines. It is part of the Broncoraptor. The pickup’s six-cylinder engine will be offered in Australia in XLT and Sport trims. The truck conforms to Euro 5 regulations, although fuel economy numbers have not been released.
A smaller, 2.0-liter diesel engine can be fitted to the Ranger. It will depend on where you live. It produces 168 horsepower (125kW), and 300 lbft (405Nm), of torque. You can turbocharge the engine to boost its power output to 207 horsepower (157 kW) and 370 lbft (505 Nm). The next-generation Ranger can tow a maximum payload of up to 2,925 pounds (1,327 kg), depending on the engine it uses. The next-generation Ranger’s maximum towing weight could be 7,716 lbs (3.500kg), making it capable of transporting bulky items.
2023 Ford Ranger Diesel Released
On-demand 4WD systems can be ordered with 4H, 4H, and 4L modes. A 4A automatic is also available. Ford will offer seven driving modes, including a full-time or part-time four-wheel drive and eventually a plug-in hybrid. All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Some fleet vehicles may have a start/stop system.
