2023 Lexus RX – According to these publications, the Lexus RX 2023 will receive a new powertrain lineup in conjunction with its next-generation model. A new plug-in hybrid option is also available. This year, the all-new RX will be unveiled.
First, Lexus is rumored to replace the naturally-aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine with a turbocharged, 2.4-liter gasoline-burning engine. This will likely be the same one used on the new Lexus NX. The NX350’s four-banger, which is force-inducted, produces 275 horsepower (205 Kilowatts) as well as 317-pound feet (430 Newton-meters).
2023 Lexus RX Redesign
According to the report, the hybrid powertrains for the RX lineup will be available in three flavors. The RX500h will be replaced by the RX450h. It will be a hybrid PHEV that combines the turbocharged, 2.4-liter engine and an electric motor. The range will include an RX450h+, which will be powered by a 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor. It will also have a lithium-ion battery-powered battery. According to some reports, the base hybrid will be called the RX350h in the same vein as the NX350h. It will be powered by an electric motor and a 2.5-liter engine.
Both publications did not provide numbers for output or range to match the new powertrain lineup. It is not clear if Lexus will offer the 2.0-liter turbocharged base model in the new RX lineup. As usual, you should be skeptical about this report – at least until the automaker gives any concrete details.
