2023 Lincoln Corsair – We expect the Corsair to receive a redesign in 2024 by Lincoln. The 2023 model will be a carryover model. Although Corsair could see some minor changes in its design and information system, these changes will be sufficient to keep it competitive until a new model is available.
2023 Lincoln Corsair Redesign
The Lincoln Corsair was launched in 2020 to replace the MKC. The Corsair is an entirely new replacement for the MKC. However, it still retains some exterior features that are similar to the discontinued SUV. The Corsair’s front looks like an Aviator, with its swept-back headlights and rectangular grille. It also has a slim intake. The Corsair’s back looks very similar to the MKC. It has thin taillights connected with a horizontal bar, dual exhaust outlets, and a simple bumper. While the 2023 Corsair may have a slightly different exterior design, most things will remain the same as the model currently on sale.
Corsair’s current interior design is more family-friendly than other Lincolns. The dashboard’s tiered design features a line of vents running almost the entire width. Most of the controls for the SUV are found on the floating section of your dashboard. This makes it easy to reach. Lincoln offers Corsair trims with more luxurious materials and beautiful color schemes. The interior design of the 2023 Corsair should be the same as the one currently on sale.
The 2023 Corsair will be equipped with an upgraded infotainment system that features a larger touchscreen. The SUV’s current touchscreen is eight inches. It also has a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. There are 10 speakers and two USB ports. The 2023 Corsair could be fitted with a larger touchscreen by Lincoln and feature its SYNC 4 infotainment systems, which is a significant upgrade to the current SYNC 3. The current Corsair includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14 speaker Revel audio system. There is also navigation and a wireless charging station.
The current Corsair is available with three powertrain options from Lincoln. Standard is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It produces 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine is the only one that includes front-wheel drive. The next level is a turbocharged, 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine produces 295 horsepower and 310 lb/ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard on this engine. Each of the four-cylinder engines comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Corsair Grand Tourism has a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric engines. The combined output is 266 horsepower. The PHEV can travel 28 miles on electricity. These powertrains will continue to be available in the 2023 model year.
The current Corsair has a wide range of safety features. These features should be carried over to 2023. The standard safety features of the Corsair are forward-collision warning and automatic emergency brake, pedestrian detection. Safety features available include parallel park, evasive driving assist, adaptive cruise controller, reverse automatic emergency brake, blind-spot monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, blind-spot monitor, and a head-up display.
