2023 Lincoln Mark E Review

The Lincoln Mark E design should be reminiscent of the Lincoln Zephyr Reflection concept, which was unveiled at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show. China is a major market for Lincoln and the concept was created to meet the needs of Chinese car buyers. With its opulent, emotional, and brawnier design, the Lincoln electric SUV could be distinguished from the Mach-E.

This exclusive rendering shows a Zephyr-inspired SUV. Because of its masculine proportions, the powerful design of this sedan looks more at home in an SUV. The vertical orientation of the side air vents is more clearly seen because they are narrower. The SUV’s body design is better suited by the larger headlamps. They also provide improved visibility. The front bumper is slightly higher to allow for more ground clearance and better approach angles.

Interior

Interior design should continue the Zephyr Reflection theme, with rich colors and high-quality materials. The new digital design language ‘Constellation’, which includes a “coast to coast display” of night sky themes, may be seen in the interior. Spy media revealed that the Lincoln Mark E is in testing. Although the Ford Mustang Mach-E top hat is worn by the early prototypes, it’s clear that there are some differences. The Lincoln EV’s ride height is higher than the Ford EV’s and has six lug nuts instead of five. The Lincoln EV’s track is wider and the wheelbase is longer, suggesting a larger body and more spacious cabin.

Ford announced in April 2020 that plans to build a Lincoln electric car using Rivian’s skateboard platform were canceled. This was due to the pandemic that forced Ford to rethink its business strategy. But that doesn’t mean electric vehicle plans are no more. According to reports, the Lincoln Mark E will be riding on an updated version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E’s RWD/AWD electric vehicle platform. Lincoln announced that its first global electric vehicle will be unveiled in 2022. The company announced that four EVs are in development, all based upon a new RWD/AWD EV platform.

Ford had originally intended to borrow the Rivian R1S powertrain from Rivian for the Lincoln Mark E. However, the Rivian powertrain sharing agreement is not in place. To get things moving, the Lincoln electric SUV could be equipped with components from the Mustang Mach-E. The Mustang Mach-E top-end configuration has two motors that produce 480 horsepower and 634lb.-ft. respectively. It also includes a 98.8kWh Lithium-ion lithium-ion battery of 376 cells and a Mustang Mach-E configuration with 480 horsepower. Ford will likely create new motors for the Lincoln family. The Lincoln Mark E will have a maximum range between 300-350 miles. A standard feature of the electric luxury SUV could include adaptive suspension.
