2023 Mazda CX-60 Spied With Quad But Fake Exhaust

2023 Mazda CX-60 – Mazda has done an amazing job of keeping the CX-60 under wraps. This is the second time the SUV has been seen. While it was being tested, the first-ever PHEV from Mazda was seen in Germany. It was disguised under thin camouflage to conceal its production body. Zoom-Zoom is not going to break any ground in design.

2023 Mazda CX-60 Review

Mazda is well-known for producing some of the best SUVs on sale, and the CX-60 looks great as a family hauler. The ugly faux exhaust finishers on the back could have made it even more attractive. The exhaust finishers on the driver’s side are a decoy since there is no exhaust tip. The real deal lies beneath the exhaust finishers on your right side. Similar exhaust systems are known. (We think of you, Audi S6 diesel)

Although the CX-60 may look familiar, it’s quite different underneath. The CX-60 is a rear-wheel-drive platform with longitudinal engines. Logic claims that we are considering the PHEV because the electrified version has been tested with more than 300 horsepower. It would make sense to give the most powerful model the quad exhaust system, even if it is misleading.

Charging System

But where is the charging port? This vehicle is only visible from the right, and there’s no fuel cap. The one for gasoline, as with ICE-only Mazdas is presumably on the left. The charging port for plug-in hybrids, such as the Mercedes models, is located in the rear bumper. This doesn’t seem to be true. It can be found either in the grille or on the front-left fender. We have ruled out the possibility that the November 2021 camo-free model was found. This would mean that the grille is the place Mazda has hidden the charging port. This is similar to Genesis’ Electrified GT70. It is possible that the CX-60 could be driven entirely by a gasoline engine, but this is not ruled out.

In October 2021, the CX-60 was announced. It is part of the “Large Product Group”. The CX-70 will accompany it in the United States. Mazda is also working on a three-row, larger CX-80 model in Europe. In North America, this will be called the CX-90. Apart from the SUV, many other models, including the next Mazda6, will also be going RWD. The new SUVs are also available as a plug-in hybrid. They will be based on the SkyActiv D inline-six. The four-cylinder mild-hybrid powertrains will be joined by a four-pot PHEV. The CX-60 will use a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with four cylinders and an electric motor to produce over 300 horsepower. Mazda intends to electrify its lineup with a range-extending rotary engine for the MX-30. The small electric crossover can be purchased as a mild hybrid with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine in select countries.
