2023 Ram ProMaster EV – Ram stated Tuesday that the company would launch an electric ProMaster in 2023 in response to customer demand. This is exactly what we have come to expect from Ram & Stellantis even though they are finally going electric, albeit kicking and screaming.
2023 Ram ProMaster EV Review
This is not surprising, considering that Stellantis sells electric ProMasters in other countries, such as the Peugeot e-Boxer and the Fiat e-Ducato. Stellantis previously stated that full-electric versions would be available in all of its segments by 2025 and every segment by 2030.
If you’re playing at home, it won’t mean Stellantis has made all-electric vehicles by 2030. It just means that there will be offerings in every segment of the market by that time. It is just the beginning. In 2024, it will offer an electric Ram 1500. Ram stated Tuesday that more information would be made available about the electric ProMaster. But you can assume it will not be any different from the e-Ducato which has a WLTP range up to 142 miles, or the e-Boxer which can go up to 139 miles. These vans are intended to be used for “last-mile” deliveries and will make a lot of sense for businesses due to the savings on fuel and maintenance.

You know, Ram should try to be ahead of the curve and own the electric van market, just like Ford with the E-Transit, or Rivian with the van it’s building to sell Amazon. GM, too. We’ll wait to see if the tiger is ready to change its stripes.
