Subaru sources have confirmed that Subaru will wait for the next Crosstrek in 2023 before launching the Wilderness trim. Subaru of America will be the first to receive the Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness 2023. Subaru will likely launch an asphalt road model in the summer of 2023. The new Subaru Crosstrek 2023 will be completely redesigned with an updated exterior design, an upgraded interior, and new turbocharged engine options. According to sources close to the Japanese automaker, a new turbocharged Crosstrek model will be available for American customers.
Outdoor enthusiasts would like to see the third-generation Crosstrek 2023 with the option for a turbocharged, 2.4-liter engine. Subaru will welcome a 2.4-liter engine to its Crosstrek 2023. Subaru might decide to add horsepower to its 2.5-liter Crosstrek Boxer engine, which is naturally sucking. However, the form indicates that the Japanese car manufacturer has not provided any details about the outdoor adventure model.
The Crosstrek Wilderness, like the Wilderness Outback, will likely include a state-of-the-art dual-function X-Mode. This includes an elevated 9.5-inch ground clearance and standard front and rear skid plates. As well as improved off-road suspension. Crosstrek Wilderness will be wearing 17-inch Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires and will have full-size spare tires. The Crosstrek’s new model will feature an automatic Lineartronic, Continuous Variable Transmission (Continuous Variable Transmission), and a better rear differential. Subaru updated all models with the Boxer direct injection turbocharged (DIT), and Forester, Crosstrek, and Forester were the next models to receive it.
This edition is designed to be the “most competent Outback” and includes many exclusive off-road features that you won’t find in other models. Subaru stated that suspension is more difficult than ever before, but the company didn’t elaborate. The same dual-function X.Mode that was used in the Onyx X.T. was also included. The model was available in Snow/Dirt or Deep Snow/Mud modes. The Wilderness Edition is taller than the Outback and has a 9.4-inch ground clearance compared to 8.7 inches for the base model. The Outback’s approach angle is now 20.0 degrees. The break-over angle is 21.2 degrees. And departure angle is 23.6 degrees.
This Outback version also has a new exterior, as you may already be aware. This includes a new front bumper and rear bumper, which further improves clearance, a standard front plate, and Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires that wrap around a 17-inch rim. The inside and outside of the badge have an ideal Wilderness symbol. This special edition includes an exclusive Geyser Blue trim, inspired by Subaru’s rally heritage. Wilderness Edition’s interior features a unique combination of StarTex faux leather upholstery in black and copper-colored contrast stitching throughout. Throughout, the door panel, shifter, and steering wheel have unique Anodized Copper accents. The basic version includes the 11.6-inch vertical touch screen and Subaru EyeSight active safety tech.
You’ll find copper contrast stitching in the upholstery and door panels, dashboard, dashboard, and center console. All pieces of cabin chrome, except door handles, have been replaced by a matte black finish. StarTex Subaru waterproof faux leather is used to cover the seats. It feels great, looks amazing, and is virtually child and dog-proof. The Wilderness logo is also embossed on the standard floor mat and the headrest. All Wilderness Outbacks include an 11.6-inch infotainment screen on the smaller models. The setup has been updated recently and is easier to use. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Android Auto are available as standard. Drivers will also be able to see the turning angle in real-time in the instrument cluster view. This feature is unique to the Wilderness model.
