2023 Volvo XC40 Facelift Quietly Unveiled on Configurator

2023 Volvo XC40  – The Swedish manufacturer unveiled its first all-electric crossover last year. The XC40 recharge was a variant of the XC40 standard model. It’s quite new, but it could be updated for next year. The standard model has been in existence since 2019, and it’s now time to refresh the mid-cycle. These changes will also be included in the 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge. We are still waiting on the details. Although the details of changes are yet to be revealed, there are some things we can predict. The changes will most likely be cosmetic. There may be some styling changes, but also some new interior features. We expect that the drivetrain will not change given the model’s new nature. We expect a crossover with a well-insulated cabin and composed handling that is one of the top models in its class. We don’t yet know when the launch date will be, but we believe it could be sometime in the second quarter of this year.

2023 Volvo XC40 Redesign

The 2023 Volvo XC40 design will remain largely unchanged. This is especially true for mechanics. The small SUV does a great job. It handles well and provides a great balance of comfort and performance. However, there may be some aesthetic changes. The standard model has a lot more detail than the current model. The standard model will soon get a facelift so expect some changes to the Recharge. This is mainly for the front end. We also expect updates in terms of new wheels and color options.

Interior

The interior of the 2023 Volvo XC40 may see some new color schemes and some tweaks to its center console. The cabin will largely remain unchanged. The current design is simply stunning, with its elegant aesthetics, top-quality materials, and outstanding build quality. The sound insulation is excellent.

This model is among the most spacious in its class when it comes to seating. The rows can accommodate adults, and the front seats can be sat in large enough numbers to support them. The cargo area is not as generous. The standard model has a lower cargo area than the average model in the segment. However, the electric model is worse. The second row may have 17 cubic feet more capacity than the standard model, which is a far lower rating than peers like Audi Q3 or BMW X1. However, this is a good rating for an electric crossover.

Features

While we may be able to see some new features in terms of available and standard features, most things should stay the same. This also applies to the trim level organization. The base model, called Pure, should include 19-inch wheels, keyless ignition, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Google-sourced infotainment systems, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and dual-zone climate control. Although the Ultimate trim might get some new features, it should be largely unchanged. Options like adaptive cruise control and heated rear system, 20-inch wheels, premium sound system, and so on are available to the Ultimate trim. Safety features should be standard on all models. This includes a 360-degree camera and automatic emergency braking.

Engine

These aspects shouldn’t be changed. You can count on a system that has two electric motors. One powering the front wheels, the other the rear. It produces a total of 402 horsepower. This is a very capable vehicle. For example, 0-60 time goes under 4.5 seconds. The battery pack is 75-kWh and can provide 223 miles of driving on one charge. The SUV can be charged using a fast charger or a home 240-volt outlet.
