2024 Ford GT3 – After the Ford GT’s demise, the band was broken up. However, Multimatic and Ford are now reuniting to create a Mustang GT3 car in 2024 for the IMSA competition as well as the dozens of other global series that race GT3-spec cars.
2024 Ford GT3 Review
Ford will sell customer cars through 2024, Holt stated. However, the company will field a team of two cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the factory-supported GT Daytona Pro Class. A new GT4 car will be available for the company in 2023, to replace the Mustang GT4 currently racing in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series BMW Endurance Race.
Multimatic, Ford Racing, and M-Sport will collaborate to create the GT3. This GT3 will allow for modifications to the Coyote V-8 in order to make it more suitable for the new Mustang. Although the names of the drivers have not yet been announced, Joey Hand, a Ford GT racer, was present for the announcement. The Mustang GT3 will have a short-long arm suspension front-rear, rear-mounted transaxle transmission, carbon fiber body panels, and a unique aero package that was designed to meet GT3 goals.
2024 Ford GT3 Released
Mark Rushbrook, Ford Performance director, did not rule out a race test in late 2023 if the car was ready. However, it is more likely that the GT3 will make its debut at the 2024 Rolex 24 Daytona.
