2024 Mazda CX-60 Plug-in Hybrid SUV Redesign
Although the styling of CX-60 might look odd from some angles, it looks more like a larger CX-5 with more Chrome. The CX-60 will look the same, but the CX-70 will look larger and more athletic. But even on the CX-60, the rear-wheel-drive-esque proportions are clear, as it has a long hood and a dash-to-axle ratio that ensure it won’t be mistaken for a more mainstream crossover with a a transversely mounted engine and a front-wheel-drive-based platform.
The interiors of Mazda were excellent. The CX-60 interior is outstanding thanks to the exceptional materials used for the dashboard and seats. The CX-60 and CX-70 both have two-row seating. The CX-90 will come later. The CX-90 will be available with three rows and will replace the CX-9.
Europe will see the CX-60’s plug-in hybrid configuration. It will eventually support an inline six-cylinder engine that is powered by a 48-volt hybrid. Mazda has provided some information about future powertrains, but we will have to wait until the CX-70 launches in order to find out more about their U.S specifications. The CX-70 will have this plug-in-hybrid option.
