2024 Range Rover Evoque – The Mk2 Range Rover Evoque arrived late 2018 and, according to Autocar’s May 2021 report, the third-gen Evoque is expected to replace it in 2024. Jaguar Land Rover confirmed that the Range Rover Evoque Electric will be available for customers as part of its ‘Reimagine” global strategy.
2024 Range Rover Evoque Review
JLR is creating a new platform called Electrified Modular Architecture. (EMA) is a native battery electric vehicle or pure electric biased platform that can also be used to support advanced electrified internal combustion engines. JLR announced that it will build the Discovery Sport and the new Evoque on its base at the 2021 Investor Day in March. The first model built on this platform will arrive in 2024, and it will, according to JLR, be the next-generation Evoque.
The EMA platform will have a flat floor to maximize cabin space. It also has in-house designed electric drive units that deliver 92% efficiency. They are capable of 800V and will also be the most torque-dense in their class. JLR has estimated their energy efficiency at 4-4.5 miles/kWh. This would be a significant improvement on the I-Pace’s energy efficiency ratings. As per Europe’s WLTP, the I-Pace has a 35.4-40.5 kWh/100 mile (2.4-2.8 miles/kWh in both EV320- and EV400 versions). Thierry Bollore, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, briefly spoke about the EMA platform on the parent company’s Q3 FY22 earnings conference call. JLR has been developing this platform, he said, because it, like the MLA, will allow for cars with unique proportions.
2024 Range Rover Evoque Price & Release Date
According to the Autocar UK report, the next-gen Evoque and next-gen Discovery Sport will have higher entry prices. The base price for the Evoque was USD 45,000 in the USA, and GBP 32.590 in the UK at the time of reporting. The higher cost of the highly electrified platform will play a part in the price increase. According to the British publication, the base price for the 2024 Evoque would be GBP 40,000 (20.6% more) in the UK. The higher price is intended to communicate the premium position of the Evoque over its German counterparts. However, it can only be justified by revolutionary changes. It promises to be the most spacious Evoque among the three generations thanks to its flat floor. This is a good place to start.
