2024 Volkswagen ID.Buzz Microbus EV -The wait is gone for the return of the Volkswagen bus. Volkswagen President Herbert Diess announced via Twitter that the 2024 ID.Buzz Microbus will be unveiled on March 9th.

2024 Volkswagen ID.Buzz Microbus EV Review
The ID.Buzz is a nod to the famous Type 2 Microbus that was launched in the 1950s and the design is appropriate for a retro. There have been prototypes tested as well as VW showed a glimpse of the final version last in the fall (pictured). It’ll be built on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive (MEB) platform that is the foundation of the ID.4 electric crossover that is available currently within the States. We anticipate the ID.Buzz to come with an operating range of approximately 300 miles. It will also be available in single-motor and dual-motor versions offering rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive.

The only long-wheelbase passenger vehicle version within the U.S., and it is expected to arrive in 2023, for the model year 2024. It will come with 3 rows of seating that are set up in a variety of ways. They can be removed. Pricing is expected to begin at around $40,000, which will make it more competitive with other EV products.

A commercial cargo version with no windows will be offered in Europe. Stay tuned in March for additional specs and more details as the brand new electronic Microbus will be available for public testing.
