With its more sexy styling, the new 2023 Kia Sportage will stand out from other compact crossovers. Unusual features include a unique grille design and alien-looking headlights. Its sleek, muscular body evokes the Kia EV6’s taillights.
Although we don’t know the powertrains that the Sportage will use, they are likely to be shared with the newly redesigned Hyundai Tucson. This suggests that a standard four-cylinder engine of 187 horsepower will be available. A hybrid or plug-in hybrid may also be available. We believe the 2023 Sportage will be offered with a turbo-four generating around 280 horsepower. This is especially true if it inherits from the Sorento SUV.

The interior of the Sportage is a striking design, highlighted by the large digital display at the dashboard and other eye-catching details. We’ve seen images that show a striking two-tone scheme. The shape of the air vents at the dash is particularly distinctive. The center console features a rotary shift knob and a push-button to start. There are many other controls that blend in with the black piano-black bezel.
2023 Kia Sportage Release Date and Price
Kia has not yet revealed the price of the 2023 Sportage or what trim levels it will come in. The current lineup will be the same as the next generation. We don’t anticipate each model to be more expensive than they are. The 2023 Sportage will introduce a new generation, presumably in the first half of next year. For the model year 2022, the current generation will remain unchanged.
